A Ruby Red Engagement Party Meets Your Holiday Tablescape

About a couple of months ago we planned a wonderful engagement party for a really sweet couple! Given the time of year, and her love affair with "Red," we decided to incorporate deep and dark tones to create a romantic and intimate backdrop. Harvest season was in full bloom when we starting jotting down ideas, and adding touches of seasonal fruit to the tablescape gave this event a very warm and homey vibe. We really wanted to bring the outdoors of Sonoma indoors, so the woodsy touches were a must as well.

Romance sure is about flowers and candles! Hence, the beautiful roses and candelabras were a staple to this design. And like any event we like to plan, we always pay great attention to the glassware and place settings! Check out the detail on the cut glass and adorably ornate salad plates.

Oh and last but not least the CAKE! Oh my gosh! Can you believe how stunning the cake turned out? The red velvet naked cake was not only delicious but it was beautifully designed with flowers and fresh fruit cascading down. The naked cake business is slowly declining, but not when it comes to creating a gorgeous evening like this one.
