What do you do when your BFF of over 25 years gets married? You write a blog post! I was more than ecstatic to hear just over a year ago that my best friend had gotten engaged. Of course I saw it coming ... her fiancé had gotten the lowdown long ago, which was to contact me BEFORE he made the big purchase! And so he did, and my BFF got her dream ring, and we were off to start the wedding planning! I've planned sooo many events but this one was obviously near and dear to my heart. Not only was my best friend getting married, I was asked to be the MOH which was such a beautiful experience for me!
Now onto the details! The beautiful bride chose to get ready at the spectacularly stunning Langham Hotel in Pasadena, California. If you live in the Pasadena area you know what a real gem this place is. Next, what could possibly be one of the most important details of the wedding, is the wedding gown. And this bride made sure to bring her romantic, and whimsical wedding style to life with her Monique Lhuillier gown, paired with Jimmy Choo Heels. The ceremony for Anasik and Michael's wedding was in a quaint church in Glendale, California. Once the bride and groom said their I DOs, we were off to the reception. OoOOHHHH the reception ...my FAVORITE part of any wedding! Venue shopping for this event was super easy! I had seen the venue many years ago while I was out scouting for my own wedding. I had come across a jewel of a place, the Alexandria Ballrooms. Located in downtown Los Angeles, this historical venue is known to have welcomed presidents, dignitaries, and the Hollywood elite in the early 1900s. I had never forgotten this place, and how annoyed I was that I had such a large wedding that couldn't be accommodated in their ballroom (which only accommodates 300 seated guests). So what any girl and MOH would do, I showed Anasik the venue with the hopes that she'd go for it, and I'd live vicariously through her wedding day! Hahaha! And of course she went for it! Who wouldn't!? And the rest is history ...
The photography for the wedding was done by the legendary Kim Fox, and the florals were created by celebrity florist extraordinaire Petals LA. The wedding styling, design, & coordination was done by yours truly! The rentals for this event were done by CMC Rentals & Fancy Tables (Chargers & Crystalware).
I'm so happy that Anasik and Michael got to enjoy their dream wedding. I can't wait to see what the next 25 years has in store for all of us!
P.S. I know some of you have already inquired about my dress! It is a Jovani dress which I had altered (adding the tulle to the bodice & some horsehair to the bottom trim). Style #32609.
