My Top 5 Online Websites for Home Decor

With everyone's busy schedules these days, furnishing a home can be a nightmare. Who has time to drive from store to store only to find really basic and commercially designed furniture pieces. After my husband and I bought our first home, neither of us had much time to hit the malls and go shopping, and the big box stores weren't really my thing. So what was a girl to do? I online shopped til dropped! Here's a little sneak peak of my formal living area ...

I do want to add that it took me at least two years to get to this point, slowly filtering through sites I liked, disliked, and ones that didn't meet our needs. After a few years of researching in this space here are my favorite online retailers for home decor and furnishings:

1. ONE KINGS LANE

Ohhhhh... what's there not to say about this amazingly beautiful flash sale oriented website. If you are a design connoisseur then you've already shopped here, but if you're just starting out and have an eye for some really unique pieces this is the site for you. The furnishings on this website are a bit more high end, so expect to see some decent prices along with some insanely expensive pieces. What I also love about this website is that they offer a blog where you can shop the look, and they also offer vintage pieces you can't find anywhere else!

2. JOSS & MAIN

Joss & Main is another good flash sale website. Here you will find more reasonably prices items, and this is more well suited for the everyday home. (Meaning it's not a showcase house where no one is allowed to touch anything! LOL) I have found some great finds through this online retailer. Although I personally wouldn't like to buy heavy furniture pieces from them, I do like to shop for pillows, rugs, mirrors, and tabletop decor!

3. RESTORATION HARDWARE

If I could furnish my home with as many RH pieces I would! Too bad for most people their prices are pretty up there! However, the awesome feature about RH is their customer service!!! Every part of the furniture shopping, delivery, and set up process is as smooth as butter. Unlike most retailers that ship there items in several boxes (ones you need to assemble) RH handles all of this for you with their unlimited $199 furniture delivery fee. If you have your eye on a pretty expensive piece, have no worries, you can try to shop at their outlet stores, or wait until December when they have their BIG SALE.

4. HORCHOW

Horchow is another online shop I love to visit when I'm looking for a really special piece. Again, these days nice furniture doesn't come cheap and this retailer fits the bill. Horchow is the sister company of the Neiman Marcus group, so you can imagine finding some prettttyyy fabulous things! Again, I've come to realize that they do offer a good friends and family a few times a year that offers discounts up to 30%, so if you just have to splurge, try to get as much bang for your buck as you can when their friends and family sale.

5. WAYFAIR

I really do love me some Wayfair! This retailer is really an all-around shopping experience. With millions in their inventory you can really find ANYTHING here.... and I mean ANYTHING! Again, although their furniture pieces weren't exactly what I was looking for, I still found some great rugs, outdoor pillows, outdoor fire pit, linen cabinet, and even my CHRISTMAS TREE! HAHA!

YOU CAN FIND THESE ON ONEKINGSLANE.com ...

In the near future I'd love to do a home tour. Until then, HAPPY SHOPPING my dears!

P.S. If you have any questions about my own furniture pieces please leave them in the comments box!
